General

Our “WARNING” notices are mandated by California Proposition 65. We believe that our products are completely safe for consumer use and if any Prop 65 listed chemicals were to be present, we believe they would be within the safe harbor levels for exposure as published by Prop 65.

Our lighting products use Polycarbonate (PC) lenses for light projection, and Bisphenol A (BPA) is a precursor chemical used to make PC lenses. Prop 65 identifies BPA as a cause of reproductive toxicity.

Our lighting products use Acrylonitrile Butadiene Styrene (ABS) plastic for battery carriers and other enclosures, and Styrene is a precursor chemical used to make ABS plastic. Prop 65 identifies Styrene as a chemical that can cause cancer.

Please note that PC and ABS plastics are not listed polymers under Prop 65, but the identified precursor chemicals are listed and in some cases these finished plastics may contain low levels of the chemical in the plastic. Therefore, out of an abundance of caution we decide to adopt this marking in 2017 to alleviate any legal issues that could arise from an improperly marked product sold in California.

These warnings are NOT required by the FDA or any other Federal agencies.

All of our products are designed to last at least 3 years when stored fully charged without being used. However, we highly recommend that products are checked and charged, if rechargeable, at least once a year.

For non-rechargeable products, the batteries should be checked to insure against leakage, which can happen when stored for a long time.

The brightest flashlight we currently make is offered within the NEBO brand and is called the Davinci 18000. This flashlight offers a 18,000 lumen Turbo mode and 10,000 lumen High mode.

No, it is not an ancronym. Nebo is mentioned in the Bible as the burial site of Moses. There is an excellent view of "The Promised Land" at the top of Mount Nebo. Nebo is also the name of another mountain in Utah near where the NEBO brand originated.

Yes. All of our brands' flashlights have lumen ratings that are tested and verified to ANSI standards. ANSI is the American National Standards Institute and the organization responsible for defining what criteria a light must achieve in order to receive a valid lumen rating.

For our flashlights that use alkaline batteries (non-rechargeable), NiMH (nickel-metal hydride) or NiCd (nickel-cadmium) rechargeable batteries will work fine, but with slightly reduced performance. These batteries output a slightly lower voltage than an alkaline which results in the slightly reduced brightness and runtime.

Rechargeable Li-Ion (lithium ion) cells should NEVER be used in our non-rechargeable products. These batteries feature a much higher operating voltage that could damage our products. The only exception to this is any products that use lithium primary (non-rechargeable) batteries, such as our iPROTEC gun lights, rechargeable Li-Ion cells are fine to use with these products.
