    Audubon's Rowe Sanctuary is a non-profit focusing on conservation within the Central Nebraska Platte River Valley and works to fund the protection of Platte River through eco-tourism. Audubon started buying land in the 1970's and now protects 3,000 acres of remanent prairie, restored prairie, and some crop ground.
